At Rice University, Graduate Instructors play an important role in the success of many of the university’s courses. Serving as an Instructor of Record provides numerous benefits to the graduate student taking on this role, and undergraduate students benefit from being taught by graduate students as well. Directly assisting, working with, and teaching undergraduates and one’s peers brings both rewards and responsibilities.
This training is designed to provide current and future Graduate Instructors with essential information about laws, institutional policies, and evidence-based practices that pertain to their work in this role.
