Full course description

Rice University offers an online statistics camp to review statistical tools and concepts that are used in the first year Economics Ph.D. courses. 
    
   This rigorous, 7-week course will cover topics including: Probability theory, Univariate and Multivariate random variables, Probability inequalities, Large Sample Theory and Limit theorems in probability. Students will have access to lecture videos and live sessions with instructors to learn the course content. There are 20 lectures to be completed during the 8 week course. Students will complete concept check questions, homework and quizzes for each module to reinforce what they’ve learned and test their skills. The course wraps up with a comprehensive final exam. 
    
   The coursework is intensive and students will need to dedicate 10-15 hours per week to the course in order to be successful. Because the course is online, you can take it from anywhere in the world. All you need is a computer with an Internet connection.
