Full course description
This 30-minute course examines the ethical and practical importance of preserving human agency in AI-supported environments. Participants will explore what it means to decline, limit, or question the use of AI tools without penalty or exclusion. Through everyday examples from education, work, privacy, accessibility, and decision-making, the course frames refusal not as anti-technology, but as a core part of responsible AI adoption.
Participants will leave with a clear definition of the right of refusal, a set of questions for evaluating when AI use should remain optional, and practical language for setting boundaries around AI use in courses, teams, and professional contexts.
