Full course description
The Caregiving program is a peer-led, volunteer organization whose goal is to promote safety and accountability at events where alcohol is present. Serving as a formal extension of students' desire to care for one another, the Caregiving program at each college functions as a student-created safety net. Much like designated drivers choose to refrain from drinking to make sure their friends get home safe, caregivers volunteer to be sober and respond if someone at a party is in need and get them connected with the appropriate resource. Caregivers are NOT a substitute for REMS or RUPD.
